arrange a ritual field in a closed room, on the first day of the month of
bright moon, clean and bathe oneself, wear new clothes and burn incense,
scatter flowers, and also offer food. When one enters the ritual field, one
should bow down in homage and call out the names of the said Bodhisattvas and
Buddha; afterwards, one should whole-heartedly and sincerely repent on past
non-virtuous deeds (which have created obstacles); after that, the right knee
should touch the ground, and recite the mantra 1008 times, then sit upright and
ponder about one’s wish. When the sun has not risen, eat pure food (tịnh

only eat once a day. Only leave the ritual site after 15 days. If one can do
that, one will have inconceivable might, merits and virtue, whatever one
wishes, one will be able to fulfill that wish. If the wish has not come true,
again enter the ritual site and repeat. If one’s wish comes true, still do not
